• Sam Mayer will make his first NXS start on a 1.5-mile track this weekend in the No. 8 QPS Employment Group Chevrolet.
• Mayer has competed at tracks measuring between 1-2 miles in length in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series a combined eight times. His best finish of third (twice) came at Worldwide Technology Raceway in 2019 and 2020.
• Throughout the 2021 season, the No. 8 team has earned one win, four top fives, seven top 10s and is currently 17th in Owner Points.

“Last weekend didn’t quite go the way I had hoped or planned so this weekend is going to be all about learning how the car handles since this is my first time on a 1.5 mile track in an Xfinity car. Taylor (Moyer, crew chief) and this No. 8 team had a fast car back in March at Atlanta and this weekend I know will be the same. Starting from the middle of the field is going to be tough, but this team has a lot of fight in them and I’m going to do what I can to get this QPS Employment Group Chevrolet to Victory Lane.”
